Is WikiIslam Written by Right-Wing Christian Zionist Editors?

"Is WikiIslam written by Christians?" appears to be a popular incoming search term, so I thought the question deserved an answer.

To be clear, WikiIslam welcomes all potential editors, regardless of their personal beliefs. The webmaster/website owner is an atheist (no, it's not me), but if you adhere to the site's policies and guidelines, then your religious beliefs, or lack thereof, are irrelevant.

WikiIslam is meant as a resource for all critics, therefore it focuses strictly on Islam. You will generally not find articles there discussing Muslim immigration, multiculturalism, leftists-rightists, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict or President Obama, because these issues are of a political rather than religious nature.

Likewise, you will not find any articles there promoting or criticizing other religious beliefs or ideologies such as Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism and so on. However, it does accept the theory of Evolution as a scientific fact and aims for a rational approach in its handling of Islam.

Back to the original question;  "is WikiIslam written by Christians?" To those who are not well versed in debating Islam with Muslims and their apologists, this may seem like a strange question. The reason why it is asked is quite simple; they want to know which fallacious tu quque arguments to use against you. On some occasions they'll even flatly refuse to discuss Islam with you unless you "disclose" your world view.

Muslims and their apologists rarely care about free thought or discussing the Islamic texts and their theological implications. They want to stifle discussions on Islam by derailing them onto other beliefs. Some of them are so desperate that they'll ignore the fact that you're atheist and continue calling you a Christian, or falsely accuse you of using Christians and Jews as sources.

Regardless, for those who are interested, this is probably not the answer you were looking for, but here it is anyway:

In short; the vast majority of contributers to WikiIslam are either atheists or agnostics. But this bit of information is of no real importance because the validity of facts and truth itself does not depend on the personal beliefs of those who speak it.
