Egypt: Wife helped husband rape their daughter for 7 long years

Many Muslims are under the illusion that many of the social issues inflicting non-Muslim societies are not present in the Muslim world. Statistics on incest, abortion, AIDS, pornography, drug abuse or alcohol prove otherwise. Because of this, from time to time I'll post news stories that involve Muslims, but may have not been inspired by Islam.

EGYPT: A young Egyptian girl sought the help of police to save her from her parents.

She alleged that her father had been raping her since she was 13 years of age and that her mother forces her to please her dad.

According to 'Al Youm Al Sabea’a' newspaper, the 20-year-old girl of Kafr Sinjab village in Dakahlia Governorate of Egypt, was made pregnant twice and her mother helped her abort the foetus, she told the police officials.

The victim, Rania, said the first foetus was abandoned near a mosque while the second time her mom took her to a clinic.

The father has been arrested and the case transferred to public prosecution.
